Salad Dressings

Asian Dressing

  • ½ cup Sesame seed oil
  • ¼ cup vinegar
  • ¼ cup green onions
  • ¼ cup cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger minced

Mix all the ingredients together. Cover and chill for a few hours and let flavors blend. Store in refrigerator. Good for up to 1 week.

Creamy Dressing

  • 2/3 cup non-fat yogurt
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons herbs, fresh and dried

Whisk all the ingredients together. Let sit for 1 hour to allow the flavors to blend. This dressing will store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Basic Vinaigrette

  • 1 cup olive oil
  • ½ cup red wine vinegar (or balsamic vinegar)
  • 2 teaspoons of your favorite herbs
    (try oregano, rosemary basil or dill)
  • Salt & pepper

In a jar or container with a lid, mix vinegar and herbs. Mix in 1 tablespoon of oil and shake vigorously. Conintue to add oil and shake until you have added ½ the oil. Add the remainder in 3 steps, shake.

Will keep in the fridge for about 2 weeks.
